The radar image above is from the National Weather Service Office in Des Moines, Iowa. The radar is showing a shower near the Iowa-Missouri border with its forecast path during the next hour. Rain is also indicated in the far northeast corner of Nebraska near Sioux City, Iowa (far upper left corner). The collections of yellow, orange, red and green pixels in southwest, central, and north central Iowa are wind farms. The greatest concentration of wind turbines in any county in Iowa is in Adair County, which is 2 counties west and one county south of Des Moines. The county has 535 turbines.
