Clouds of the Day - Tuesday, December 8, 2020, Part Two

This is the second of two posts today. The first post is found after this post. As you will see below this day ended with a spectacular fire red sunset after beginning with stratus and fog. Overhead are cirrus clouds in patches and dense layers. The Sun is setting in the southwestern sky as we approach the winter solstice. After we pass the solstice the Sun will begin setting further to the north until it reaches the furthest north point at the summer solstice in June.
